Binance in Madagascar: App Access and Local Status

Binance lists Madagascar among the regions supported by its app. This availability does not confirm local deposit methods, every product or approval covering all of its activities.

Binance lists Madagascar among the countries and regions where its app can be downloaded. This official information answers a specific question: the company includes the country in a published list of compatible regions, updated on August 18, 2026. It does not automatically mean that every Binance product is available, that local payment methods work or that Binance holds a Malagasy license covering all of its activities.

Assessing a service requires separating technical access, account verification, deposit methods and regulatory status. None of these elements can be inferred from a single regional compatibility list.

In brief

  • Binance’s official regional compatibility page includes Madagascar in its list, updated on August 18, 2026.
  • Binance says available services may vary depending on the country, account and product.
  • App availability alone is not proof of crypto authorization issued by a Malagasy authority.

What Binance’s official list confirms

The Binance app supported-regions page mentions Madagascar. Binance dates the list August 18, 2026. This confirms that, as of the stated date, Madagascar appears within the app’s download or support coverage, according to the page’s terms.

Our guide to checking crypto platforms explains how to distinguish technical compatibility from a license, a deposit method or a withdrawal guarantee.

The list’s scope remains limited. It is not a financial licensing register and does not necessarily enumerate every product available in each country. Nor does it guarantee that a user can use a local card, make a bank transfer, access a P2P offering, deposit ariary or withdraw to a mobile wallet.

App availability may also depend on the app store, the phone, the declared residence and KYC checks. For any account, Binance may request proof of identity or residence. Its help center guidance on verification and residential address states that documents may be used to verify a customer’s country and address.

Users should therefore not declare a foreign address to bypass a restriction. Binance’s terms of use state that certain features may be limited based on residence and prohibit circumventing territorial restrictions, including through tools that change an IP address. Providing an actual residence and consistent documentation also helps protect future account access.

App access does not mean Malagasy authorization

Madagascar’s Law No. 2023-026 defines virtual assets and virtual-asset service providers within the anti-money-laundering framework. The official SAMIFIN glossary describes activities that may fall under a VASP, including exchange, transfers and custody on behalf of a client.

A Binance page covering its licenses and registrations details certain entities and jurisdictions. It must be read on a country-by-country basis: authorization granted to a Binance company in one country does not automatically extend to Madagascar. The company’s list is also not a local register maintained by the CSBF or another Malagasy authority.

As of October 24, 2026, the official sources consulted for this article confirm that Madagascar appears on the app’s regional list. They do not provide evidence that a Binance entity holds Malagasy authorization covering all of its services. This lack of confirmation does not establish that every use is prohibited; it simply means that Binance cannot be described as “licensed in Madagascar” without a specific document.

To verify an authorization, look for the exact name of the contracting company, the document number, the authorized activity, the issuing authority, the date and the territory covered. A company may use the Binance brand while relying on a different subsidiary depending on the product. The account terms should identify the contracting party.

Payment methods must be checked in the account

Binance may offer different tools depending on the country and the user profile. Card purchases, bank transfers, conversions, digital-asset deposits and P2P transactions do not necessarily follow the same rules. A Malagasy user should not assume from the app’s presence that their account will accept an ariary deposit.

Before carrying out any transaction, open the deposit or purchase screen from the verified account and check the currency, minimum amount, fees and payment recipient. Offers seen on social media may come from a third party and may not be a deposit method supported by Binance. Do not share your login details or security code with an intermediary claiming to activate a local deposit.

A transfer through MVola or Airtel Money remains an electronic-money transaction governed by the operator’s terms. If a P2P seller asks you to send ariary, do not automatically attribute that transaction to Binance or the mobile service. The guide to buying crypto with mobile money explains why payment in local currency and delivery of an asset are separate steps.

To establish whether a payment route actually works, first note the product name displayed in the account: purchase, conversion, deposit or P2P. Then record the currency, total amount debited, net amount received, fees and withdrawal terms. The summary shown before confirmation provides more useful information than a banner or social-media post. If ariary or the expected payment method does not appear for your account, the app’s presence on the regional list does not establish that this local route exists.

For a P2P transaction, also compare the order’s minimum and maximum, payment deadline, recipient name and asset-release rules. A request to pay a third party, outside the official order or accompanied by pressure to confirm quickly should stop the transaction. Keep the order number and receipt issued by the service used, but protect personal data before sharing evidence in a claim. A small test may reveal a network or recipient error, without eliminating the risk associated with the seller.

The displayed rate may include a margin, and the seller may set their own terms. Compare the total amount debited with the amount of crypto actually delivered. Account for any withdrawal to a personal wallet and network fees. A P2P listing does not guarantee that a market will remain liquid at all times.

If you use P2P, never release assets based on a screenshot

P2P transactions connect a buyer and a seller around a payment and crypto delivery. Use the platform’s escrow mechanism when the transaction takes place on the platform. Do not move outside the official order to obtain a better price or speed up delivery.

Binance warns users about fake payment proofs. Its help center describes scams involving forged receipts and recommends checking directly in your own account that the funds have arrived. A screenshot sent by the counterparty is not a bank confirmation.

Check that the payer’s name complies with the platform’s rules, then compare the amount actually credited with the order amount. Do not release the assets if the payment does not appear in the receiving wallet. If you face pressure, open a dispute from the order and communicate only through the official channel.

Keep the receipt, order number, time and transaction ID. Never accept a third-party payment if the service’s rules prohibit it. A dispute may affect the bank account or wallet used outside the platform, even if the crypto remains locked in escrow.

Protecting the account, documents and assets

An exchange account involves a login, identity documents and a password. Use a unique password, secure your email address, enable additional authentication and monitor login notifications. Verify withdrawal addresses in the official app and enable an allowlist if that option is available for your account.

KYC does not eliminate every risk. Verification may require additional information or delay a withdrawal if the data is inconsistent. Read the data-protection terms, retention rules and complaint procedure. Our article on KYC checks and remedies helps explain what customers should ask for.

If you move crypto to a personal wallet, the platform no longer controls access once the transaction is confirmed. Check the network, address and asset before sending. An on-chain error can make the funds unrecoverable. A wallet’s recovery phrase must remain secret; no Binance agent or seller needs to know it.

Also avoid holding more than necessary on a platform if you do not understand its custody and withdrawal terms. Self-custody, however, carries the risk of losing the key. Read how wallets and keys work before choosing between third-party custody and self-custody.

How to answer the question “Does Binance work in Madagascar?”

The precise answer as of October 24, 2026, is as follows: Binance lists Madagascar on its official list of regions supported by its app. This does not confirm every product, a local payment method or authorization issued by Madagascar. Availability must be tested from an account using accurate information, while checking the terms of the service displayed.

For professional activity, caution should be greater than for individual use. A company that handles client funds or organizes exchanges may fall under VASP rules and other financial obligations. Before accepting deposits, seeking local legal advice is preferable to interpreting a download list.

For users, the decisive questions remain practical: Who is my counterparty? Can I withdraw the asset? What fees apply? What protections exist, and where can I file a complaint? The answers should come from official terms and verifiable documents. If the offer depends on a third-party account, a fictitious address or a private payment not mentioned in the terms, stop the process.

Country lists, payment methods, residence rules and products change. Check them again before making a significant deposit. An available app facilitates technical access, but financial and regulatory decisions require more precise verification.
